Star pass rusher Arden Key will rejoin the football program Monday, LSU coach Ed Orgeron announced Sunday night.

Key, who took a leave of absence for personal reasons, recently underwent shoulder surgery, according to the official release. His return has been expected since the outside linebacker missed all of spring practice.

“Arden had shoulder surgery and everything went as planned,” Orgeron said. “We are looking forward to having Arden rejoin the team tomorrow (Monday).”

An All-SEC performer last season, Key set a new single-season program record with 12 sacks in 2016. In 23 career games, Key has registered 97 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss and 17.0 sacks.
