A pair of Tigers pick up preseason All-American honors

A pair of LSU defenders landed Preseason All-American honors from Sporting News on Monday.

Junior linebacker Devin White and redshirt sophomore Andraez “Greedy” Williams each landed spots on the team, making LSU and Clemson the only schools to land multiple defenders on the squad.

White led the Tigers and the SEC in tackles last season, registering 133 stops, en route to second-team All-American honors, while Williams earned third-team All-American honors in 2017 after picking off six passes. Williams held opposing quarterbacks to a 22.9 passer rating when targeted a year ago, the best mark in the SEC among returning corners.
