BOSTON — LSU pitcher Matty Ott was one of a string of four East Division pitchers to throw a shutout inning, but the West went on to a 5-0 victory Wednesday night in the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game at Fenway Park.

LSU infielder Tyler Hanover was also on the East team.

Ott, a junior right-hander from Chalmette, La., had a 2-0 record and 0.50 earned run average in 18 innings for the Harwich (Mass.) Mariners at the time of his selection as an all-star. He had six saves while recording three walks and 16 strikeouts, limiting opponents to a .121 batting average.

Hanover, a junior infielder from Kernersville, N.C., was selected for the CCL All-Star Game for the second straight summer after batting .308 for the Yarmouth-Dennis (Mass.) Red Sox with nine doubles, nine RBI, six steals and 14 runs scored in 28 games.
