REPORT: Botts commits to LSU
Punter becomes 13th verbal commitment in Class of 2011
According to numerous outlets, LSU garnered its 13th commitment in the current recruiting class on Monday with the addition of punter Dalton Botts.
Botts, a junior college prospect who also played quarterback, was recruited by special teams coach Joe Robinson. All indications point toward LSU using Botts strictly as a punter.
Botts (listed by Scout.com as 6-4, 205) will join a number of other punters on campus beginning in the 2011 season. Lining up to replace 2010 senior Derek Helton are Drew Alleman (will be a junior in ‘11), D.J. Howard (will be a senior) and Brad Wing (will be a sophomore).
Botts currently plays at Moorpark Junior College, but was prior a quarterback and punter at Taft Union, where he was part of a 12-1 team that secured the Valley Championship.

Wow another punter. Maybe Les is Les is not expecting his offensive line to be as good as last years, which was his best since he has been here. He might want to sign more punters with an offense that was ranked 112th in all the country.
