With all of the rumors swirling of who has committed versus who has chosen to take their future elsewhere it is sometimes difficult to see which commitments will be on board for the long haul. LSU accepted a verbal pledge from one 4-star prospect and his loyalty to the Tigers remains just as strong today as it was back in July.

Stavion Lowe (6′5, 310) has witnessed his future team ride the college football roller-coaster all season long and Lowe claimed it has come as no surprise. Lowe expects to be in attendance this weekend for the Alabama game with hopes of getting a better perspective of the direction the Tigers’ cart is heading along the tracks.

“My mom and I have been talking about making the trip to Baton Rouge this weekend and so far it looks like I’ll be able to make it,” Lowe informed. “It will be an unofficial visit for me and I’ll take my official visit in December or January.

“I think LSU has a good shot at winning this weekend,” Lowe added. “Every team has a downfall and we saw that last night when Texas lost to [Texas] Tech. I know coach [Nick] Saban is going to have his team ready and I know coach [Les] Miles is going to have LSU ready. It’s going to be a heavyweight fight.”

Although LSU has struggled with its aerial attack this season, they have been effective with the ground game which is something the Brownwood High School product takes pride in while serving as an offensive lineman.

“LSU’s offensive line has a lot of veterans,” Lowe stated. “They’ve been opening up holes and I think [Charles] Scott and [Keiland] Williams have looked good running the ball. LSU has a power running game which makes their offense still very effective.

“LSU may have lost a couple of games this season, but they’re still a good team,” Lowe continued. “They have some kinks they need to work out and after they get that straightened I think they will be fine. They just need to come out and play really good football and hope for a bowl game.”
