One of the most talked about LSU prospects for the class of 2009 is 5-star receiver Andre Debose (6-0, 176, 4.4). Debose is a part of the Seminole High School three-headed monster which also includes Dyron Dye and Ray Ray Armstrong.

The three of them are amongst the quietest in the nation when it comes to where they are leaning in the recruiting world, but TigerRag.com managed to reach Debose for a post game recap of his weekend visit to Baton Rouge.

“It was fun,” Debose expressed. “I’ve been to LSU a couple of times before so it was pretty much the same, but I always enjoy myself when I visit LSU.”

Debose is the No. 4 rated wide receiver in the nation by ESPN.com and the No. 29 overall prospect in the ESPN Top 150. Rivals.com has Debose rated as the No. 3 wide receiver in the country.

While on hand, Debose took in the game from more of an analyst-type role rather than as a fan. He provided TigerRag.com with his personal analysis of the game.

“I thought the game would be closer,” Debose explained. “I think the two interceptions pretty much cost LSU the game. The one in the beginning set the tempo for the game. It kind of took the heart out of the team and I think it really hurt them.”

After the game, Debose had the chance to hang out with one of LSU’s top receivers, Demetrious Byrd.

We were just hanging out and chit-chatting,” Debose stated. “That was pretty much it. Byrd is a cool guy though.”

Pre-game however, Debose took in the experience with some of the other members of the class of 2009.

“I do not remember all of their names, but I remember them from their positions,” Debose joked. “I talked with the linebacker from Georgia (Kevin Minter), the running-back from Texas (Dexter Pratt), the linebacker (Jon Bostic), and some big guy from Tennessee (Dominique Allen).

“We really didn’t talk too much about football or recruiting,” Debose admitted. “It was more like friends just hanging out at a game.”

As for his teammates Ray Ray Armstrong and Dyron Dye, Debose refused to speak on their behalf stating, “It looked like they were having a good time, but I do not want to speak for them.”

Debose on the other hand admitted to enjoying himself on the bayou, but claimed he still has more researching to do.

“LSU is amongst my top teams with Georgia, but I’ll wait until I take my other visits before I make my final decision,” Debose confirmed. “I know I’m going to Florida and to Miami and I’m trying to set up a USC visit, but I’m not sure about that yet.

“I really liked the game atmosphere at LSU,” Debose added. “I like their fans a lot too because they’re always into the game. That is probably the thing I really like about LSU.”

Note: Debose claimed he is not done with the Tigers just yet, as he will try to make another trip to Death Valley for LSU’s showdown with Alabama.

Is anybody upset about the fair weather fans who are bailing out of Tiger stadium in the third quarter and early fourth quarter? If there was ever a game where the team needed all of its rabid fans in the stands hollering and screaming until the end of the game the Georgia game was it.
Are they going to bail out at the Bama game if we are behind? It seems to me the fans are more concerned about themselves than they are the team. Somebody needs to get in their faces and challenge them to stay the hell in their seats.

Got something to say?
