Tigers looking forward to challenge in Tuscaloosa

The red-hot LSU Tiger basketball team is set for its toughest challenge in weeks: a road contest against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

LSU (13-7, 4-5 SEC) is on a three-game winning streak in conference play and has won four of five against SEC foes.

Alabama (14-8, 6-3 SEC), meanwhile, is coming off a road loss to Auburn where they scored just 14 points in the second half. The Tide are seeing their NCAA Tournament hopes slip away, so there’s no doubt they’ll want to defend their home court — especially against a rival like LSU.

Yesterday, LSU head coach Johnny Jones and Tiger players Malik Morgan and Anthony Hickey met with the media to reflect on the last five games and look ahead to a big one on the road Saturday. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. CST and will be televised nationally on ESPN2 with Mark Jones and Jimmy Dykes on the call. The game will be broadcast on the affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network (Eagle 98.1 FM in Baton Rouge) and in the Geaux Zone at LSUSports.net

LSU head coach Johnny Jones seems to be turning the failing LSU basketball program around. Into a winning basketball team. I keep feeling like he is doing a better job. Then what was being done on the LSU hardwood before he was hired.

We will be cheering for you. Because the LSU basketball fans have be taking losing on the chin for to lone a time now. And there is not to many better things that feels better then winning. So, go get them tiger five.

Got something to say?
