PRACTICE REPORT: Thursday, March 27
Quarterback competition continues with return of Perrilloux approaching.

With over 50 prep coaches from around the state observing, the LSU Tigers took the the practice field for the third time since returning from last weeks break.
Ryan Perrilloux was not at practice, but LSU coach Les Miles indicated at a press conference earlier in the day that quarterback is doing “all the right things” to get back in position to be back on the practice field very soon.
Jarrett Lee and Andrew Hatch continued to share first team duties. It was apparent when observing the quarterbacks and running backs run option drills that Hatch was probably the more mobile of the two signal callers.
On the offensive line, Will Blackwell once again worked out with the rest of the hog-mollies. The 6′4 293 pound freshman looked natural in the drills and it looks to be like he could possibly stay on that side of the ball for good.
In linebacker drills, where the first team running backs block against the outside LB’s, Kelvin Sheppard looked impressive in getting around and through the blocks. The 6′3 228 sophomore who mostly played special teams last season should be in the mix for alot of playing time in the upcoming season.
Defensive lineman and track and field star Ricky Jean-Francois was not at practice.
Beside all of the quarterbacks, the only players with green-shirts on were linebacker Jacob Cutrera and defensive lineman Charles Alexander. Miles said yesterday that both players will hopefully be healthy for the upcoming spring game on April 5.
