After winning five of six from highly-ranked Arkansas and Florida in SEC play, Paul Mainieri’s Tigers returned to Alex Box Stadium for a three-game set with hapless Alabama.
Expectations swirled about whether the Tigers should sweep last place Alabama, the Bayou Bengals didn’t disappoint with a trio of non-completive W’s.
Pitching was fantastic all weekend long as the Tide mustered just four runs in the series, but the big sticks were out Friday night when Mason Katz and Austin Nola launched home runs with runners on base. Katz powered a three-run shot that left the stadium, and Nola followed suit with a grand slam - his first big fly of the year.
Tiger Rag photographer Gail Chisum caught Friday and Sunday’s victories at the Box this weekend.
We hope you enjoy his work below.
Here’s a legend of the photos so you know who you’re looking at in each one.

Winning13 of its last 14 games mean that this LSU baseball team is showing much a more championship swagger then last years humble pie. If they keep that winning pace up. Say Hello to big time college baseball again. Like Yoga Bera said, quote “Anyone who is popular is bound to be disliked.”
