With most SEC teams at least a week into spring practices, Tiger Rag Radio brought in ESPN.com’s Chris Low to share his expert opinion and analysis on the hot-button issues around the SEC this time of year.

Low broke down his early SEC rankings heading into next season, a poll in which he tabbed LSU third based on overall talent. Like he says, though, there doesn’t seem to be much difference between third and sixth.

The ESPN.com SEC blogger also dove specifically into LSU’s needs this spring, reiterating the obvious need to get a wealth of highly touted playmakers on the field and constantly involved in the action. Low then spoke to the benefits of “cross-training” athletes at different positions (like a Jai Eugene, with safety and corner), something he sees as a staple of John Chavis’ defenses.

He also previewed the Eastern division, stating that he’d “believe it when he sees it” as far as anyone being able to topple Florida.
