According to several sources, including Bryan Lazare of Rivals.com, LSU tight ends coach Don Yanowsky has been named special teams coordinator for the Memphis Tigers and will serve under new head coach Larry Porter.
Yanowsky acted as LSU’s positional coach for tight ends as well as its recruiting coordinator after Les Miles hired him on before the 2009 season. Once Frank Wilson came on board - to replace Larry Porter - Wilson was given the title of recruiting coordinator.
The Tigers just reeled in an impressive recruiting class of 2010, and the tight end position is one which was heavily bolstered. Community college signee Ken Adams joined Nick Jacobs of Many as well as Travis Dickson of Ocean Springs, Miss., as the Bayou Bengals’ newest crop of tight ends. They will join DeAngelo Peterson, already on campus and who played decent minutes last year.
It is not known who will take over/be hired on as the new tight ends coach.

i cant blame him i would not want to coach under miles either
I’m with Joe I just don’t understand who wants to coach under Les Miles. He better get the attention of Cowton to get more offense in the game. If Jefferson can’t be any better than he was this year he needs to find another Quarterback that can do the job. These new recruits coming in needs to put in right position were can do the best job. He had new recruits last year and to me did not play them enough. I AM STILL UPSET OVER THE STUFF THAT HAPPENED AT END OF THE OLE MISS GAME. I F YOU ARE THE HEAD COACH YOU HAVE GOT THINK AHEAD.
He had good new recev. but could not get then ready so let him go if he wants yo go
Joe, it’s pretty obvious that you don’t follow much football or you would have noticed that one of the best WR coaches in college football left Florida to take the same position under Coach Miles. Also, one of the best recruiters in the game, Frank Wilson, left Tenn. to come to LSU and work under Coach Miles. John Chavis, one of the most respected def. coord. in the country, along with veteran defensive coaches Brick Haley and Ron Cooper were all hired in the last year to come coach under Coach Miles. So, five of the top coaches in the country at their respective positions have decided to coach under Coach Miles. I believe their opinions mean more than yours.
