Blue Ribbon Yearbook Contributing Editor John Moorehouse joined Jeff Palermo and Ben Love on Tiger Rag Radio Tuesday night.
The publication placed LSU as the preseason No. 3-ranked squad, and Moorehouse tells Tiger Rag Radio how Blue Ribbon’s staff decided on its top-five.
Alabama comes in at No. 2, and Moorehouse gives us Blue Ribbon’s reasoning on why the Tide are ranked one peg higher than the Tigers heading into 2011.
South Carolina cracks Blue Ribbon’s top-10, and Georgia comes in at No. 16, so Moorehouse breaks down the SEC East and gives us a favorite.
Rounding out the SEC in Blue Ribbon’s rankings, Arkansas (No. 14) and Mississippi State (No. 21) also made the cut.
Looking at the national landscape, the contributing editor defends Blue Ribbon’s decision to drop Ohio State all the way down to No. 18 following the mess in Columbus this summer.
Among the mid-majors, Boise State is ranked the highest at No. 6. Moorehouse tells us which game the Broncos cannot overlook early in the season, and it’s not the one you would think.
Finally, the scribe handicaps the LSU-Oregon tilt and gives us a favorite.

John Morehouse evaluations or breakdown of teams were extremely weak. “Team has potential, team has rough schedule, world class atheletes, team is really really interesting, LSU and Oregon that’s a tough one etc. Just cliches. No personnel or specifics about teams.
