Brandon Wilson of Calvary Baptist is one in-state player in which the Tigers are showing interest, according to recruiting expert Shea Dixon (photo courtesy Calvary Baptist Academy).

Shea Dixon of Tigersportsdigest.com joined Jeff Palermo and Ben Love on Tiger Rag Radio Tuesday night.
The recruiting expert gave us insight into how LSU is approaching its summer recruiting period with camps coming up soon.
After receiving 16 signees from the state of Louisiana in LSU’s 2011 class, the Pelican State doesn’t appear to be quite so strong with football talent in 2012. Does Dixon think LSU’s coaching staff will spend the majority of its time this summer trying to protect the state’s boarders or going out of state for foreign imports?
Which in-state guys have caught the Tigers’ eye, and how many more linebackers are the Tigers going to try to recruit?
Dixon says LSU will likely need to go out of state for offensive linemen, and he gives us a potential target for LSU.
One player who surely bucks the trend of Louisiana lacking talent this year is Landon Collins of Dutchtown, and Dixon tells Tiger Rag Radio which schools are giving the stud safety interest.

Hey Shea,
My son is Brandon Davenport a linebacker at St Michael -2013 class. Please check out his NCSA video. Just type “Brandon Davenport football” on your search engine. Many schools are talking to him and the bigger D1’s are out of state. He is visiting Tulane, ULL, SELA, and South Alabama soon. He is not getting much attention from LSU. I bleed purple and gold and would love him to stay close to home. Help me in this effort if you like. You be the judge.
Thanks
Wayne
