Where do the Tigers rank in his latest preseason top 5?

Dennis Dodd of CBSsports.com joined Jeff Palermo and Ben Love on Tiger Rag Radio Tuesday night.

The regional pundit explained why he moved LSU out of the top spot in his preseason top-25 (down to No. 3), and he tells us which Tiger running back could end up being “a star” this season.

Dodd then explained if he thinks Jordan Jefferson can lead LSU to a national championship.

He continued, giving Tiger Rag Radio an early preview of the season-opening game between LSU and Oregon, who Dodd ranked fourth.

Oklahoma is Dodd’s new No. 1 and Alabama is No. 2. With both schools jumping LSU since his previous poll, he described what those teams did to impress him during spring drills.

The defending national champions come in at No. 15 in Dodd’s poll - much higher than most preseason polls - and Dodd defends the War Eagles’ chances entering 2011.

Finally, the pundit gives us his favorite to win the muddled mess that is the SEC East.
