Former high school teammates made it official Tuesday morning that they’ll share the same jersey and playing field once again, this time at the collegiate level.

Wide receiver Travin Dural of Breaux Bridge and linebacker Lamar Louis of Teurlings Catholic verbally committed to LSU Tuesday morning, with the latter having just received his offer on Saturday (per TigerSportsDigest.com).

The duo formerly played together at Breaux Bridge before Louis, who also played a good deal of running back, transferred out after his sophomore season. Louis then sat out last year, his junior season, following the transfer.

Dural (6-2, 180, 4.5) chose LSU over offers from Alabama and Louisiana-Lafayette. He joins Pompano Beach, Fla., native Avery Johnson on the list of wide receivers currently committed to LSU in its Class of 2012.

Louis (6-0, 208) will stay in-state despite offers from Florida, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, among others. And while he may be listed as a linebacker, the versatile Louis is deemed more of an “athlete” in recruiting circles, someone who could possibly end up at either safety or possibly even running back when in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers have made a run on linebackers as it is in this class so far, backfilling a position that saw only one signee (OLB Trevon Randle) ink in February’s Class of 2011.

To date, here is the LSU Class of 2012, which as at eight total commitments:

LB/DE Torshiro Davis (6-3, 210) — Woodlawn HS, Shreveport
WR Travin Dural (6-2, 180, 4.5) — Breaux Bridge HS, Breaux Bridge
OLB Ronnie Feist (6-1, 210) – West St. John HS, Edgard
TE Dillon Gordon (6-5, 250) — John Curtis HS, River Ridge
MLB Trey Granier (6-1, 225) — Thibodaux HS, Thibodaux
WR Avery Johnson (6-2, 185) — Blanche Ely HS, Pompano Beach, FL
LB/ATH Lamar Louis (6-0, 208) — Teurlings Catholic HS, Breaux Bridge
TE John Thomas (6-5, 235) – Airline HS, Bossier City
